Our Mission

The mission statement of Cross Point Community Church is: Helping people fully follow Jesus through tHIS church. Jesus calls us to love people; all people. People who were nothing like Jesus liked Jesus because He obviously loved them. We aim to love people to Jesus while staying committed completely to the truth of His Word. While following Jesus is a personal and individual decision, we know that if that decision is genuine, then evidence of growth follows. In a relationship with Jesus, the love He calls us to, behaves in a way that should attract others to watch, then desire to have. Cross Point desires to help people, at every phase of their journey, to follow Jesus.

Our Strategy

It is our plan to create a church where unchurched people feel welcome and therefore love to attend. We want church to attract the unreached rather than simply reflect the reached.  People who need Christ should not have to struggle to hear and see the Gospel in action.

Our Beliefs

About the Scriptures
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit to write words of Scripture. Therefore, the Bible is without error.

About God
We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to man and to become the Savior of the lost world.

About mankind
We believe that man was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him, but became alienated from that relationship through sinful disobedience. As a result, man is totally incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by his own effort.

About salvation
We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sins. Therefore, salvation only occurs when a person places his faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment for his sin.

About the Christian life
We believe that every Christian should live for Christ and not for himself. By obedience to the Word and daily yielding to the Spirit, every believer will mature and become conformed to the image of Christ.

About the church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ of which Jesus Christ is the Head. The members are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving Him and by making Him known to a lost world.

Our History

CPCC began in the hearts of our founding Pastor Randall Owens and a small group of people whose desire it was to birth a church that would reach people for Jesus Christ; people who would not easily identify with a traditional church setting.  It was the fall of 2005 and God was impressing on the group to start a new work in the Knightdale area.  Thinking more of what unchurched people needed, they sought to present the gospel of Christ clearly.

Through the years our growing church family moved from a family room, to a clubhouse, to a storefront and then to a high school. In 2014, our church found its’ home at our campus at 1001 Steeple Square Court in Knightdale.  Located in the municipal heart of Knightdale, this property is our hub for ministry.

Our church is pursuing it’s mission to “Helping people fully follow Jesus through tHIS church.”  We believe God has us on an incredible journey and He wants to include you! Our church is different than most churches you’ve been to and, quite honestly, that is intentional. Our hope is that this place can be your place!
